I was invited to work with the Pioneers Project CIC to transform a wall in the Fox Field estate in Efford, Plymouth. I worked with young people from the Pioneers Project youth group to create the design for the mural, then painted with the young people over two days to transform the wall in their playground area. The addition of “spirit” to the one of the letters was suggested by one of the young people on the painting day, and it really adds to the design. The whole project was supported by the LiveWest social and community housing company.
The Pioneers Project held an opening event, with Councillor Brian Vincent for officially opening the area, Plymouth Raiders leading Basketball coaching, and a barbeque for everyone.
